Jo Neese has been in advertising, client management, media planning, media sales, magazine management and marketing for more than 30 years.
Before Jo’s career in magazine sales, she served as an Associate Media Director at Tracy-Locke Advertising in Dallas. After 7 years in the agency business,in both media and account service, Jo began her career in magazine sales and marketing, working as Branch Director for Southern Living, Ad Director for Houston City, and Texas Business Magazines, and then as an Associate Publisher and Ad Director of Food & Wine Magazine based in New York.
Prior to joining KCo in 2008, Jo worked for Publicitas North America for over 9 years. As Managing Director, Magazines, for Publicitas, her responsibilities included corporate budgeting, sales, and communications, coordinating 13 PNA offices in the US, Canada and Mexico. As Branch Director she also sold advertising for national magazine titles such as Entertainment Weekly, Sports Illustrated, More, Departures and Scientific American.
Before joining Publicitas, Jo owned Neese and Associates, a consulting and sales representative firm, representing national and regional magazine titles such as Sunset, The Family Handyman, D Magazine and The Christian Science Monitor.
Jo also currently represents Scientific American, Entertainment Weekly, Girl Scout Leadership and Contribute magazines, while serving as Chief Media Sales Officer with Kostial Company.
Jo has served on the Board of Trustees for St. Simon’s After School Child Care, serving needy neighborhoods in Dallas and volunteers for Austin Street Shelter.
Jo’s industry awards include AdWeek’s Top Ten Sales Stars and the prestigious DAL Eagle Awards nominee. Jo majored in Journalism and Advertising at the University of Texas in Austin.
